Creating Confident Color with Nita Leland
Here's a clip from my new video, Creating Confident Color, coming soon from ArtistsNetworkTV.
Nita, I bought Confident Color today and I've just started looking through it. You have completely blown me away: a different color every inch??? Holy smokes. . . that alone is worth the price of the book. I like the video clip too. You explain things so well.
Morning Nita..... just loved the clip, can't seem to get enough of watchinf brushes glide across canvases and hearing the expressions of fellow artist. I'm a painter in Maine (not quite at par with you) everthing intrigues me about the relationship of art and nature.... color, texture, tone..... and implied mood! I teach adult ed in Dover, Maine and one of the hardest issues for my students to grasp is color and its' mixing properties. Because of the range of ability and time constraints I have to keep the teaching very basic but be informative and allow them their own creative space to explore. It is truly fun to watch others with paint and brushes while they unleash hidden masterpieces..... Thank you for your part in inspiring me today to get going. Wednesday I go back to teaching adult drawing and painting after being sick for 8 months (colonoscopy that went really wrong!).... I've missed it and really missed the creative energy and need to get back to the students and even back into my old studio.... between the illness and depression over it everything just kind of took a back seat especially my love of painting. Thank you again, Nita...... keep inspiring. Suzette East www.suzetteeast.com

Thanks, Mary. Glad you liked it. The streaming video will be available online soon.
The video clip is great, Nita. Really enjoyed seeing you talk about color.
